This section is mostly regular ink-on-paper books, but also includes some books in CD or downloadable ebook formats.

A1 Books - Technology-oriented text books and professional books.

Amazon - Probably the largest affiliate program on the Net. You can use generic banners or links to their site, use a search box, or link to specific items related to the content of your site. Net 60, minimum payment $100 for checks, or $10 for direct deposit (US publishers only) or gift certificates. International publishers OK. We use this program, and have received payments.

Author House - Self-publishing of books. Customers submit a manuscript and they print and bind it. Sometimes called "vanity publishing." Net 30, minimum $100. Their signup form only accepts US and Canadian addresses.

BiblioQuest - Based in Australia. They search for old, rare and out of print books, from suppliers all over the world.

Book Close Outs - (Formerly Book Express.) Deep discounted prices. Offers payment in money or in store credit. Pays 30 days after each quarter, minimum $25. International publishers OK.

Books Online - Sign-ups for various book clubs.

Centre Publishing - Oriented to personal and business self-help type books. Based in the UK, but international publishers OK.

Chapters - The Internet version of one of Canada's leading book retailers.

Children's Book Insider - Offers a newsletter and books about writing children's books. International publishers OK.

Computer Manuals Online Bookstore - UK-based technical books. International affiliates OK.

Country Book Shop - UK-based, with free delivery in the UK. International affiliates OK.

Cover To Cover Audio - Downloadable audio books. Allows links to individual products. Pays only via PayPal, unless you are a student located in the USA. International publishers OK.

Feed Forward - Based in Australia. Sells technical oriented books (hard copy, CD, and ebook formats) on various engineering topics. Seems to pay only via PayPal.

Fiction 4 All - Downloadable ebooks. Allows the creation of a virtual bookstore. Two tier.

FishPond - New Zealand based, and targeted to NZ customers. Mostly books, and also software and computer accessories. 10% commission for books, and 2% for software and magazines. Pays in $NZ, Paypal for non-NZ publishers, and NZ publishers can choose cheque, bank transfer, or PayPal. Min $20.

Good Returns - New Zealand oriented books on financial topics Pays quarterly, minimum $50. International publishers OK.

Heating Help - Books and other products related to home heating. Minimum payment $50, Net 15.

Hunter Publishing - Travel/tourism books for various regions.

Joseph Dysart - Downloadable science fiction. Net 1, no minimum, by PayPal only.

Music Books Plus - Books, videos, CD-ROMs, DVDs and software on various music topics. Pays monthly, minimum $20. International publishers OK.

My Distinctive Memories - Prints customized magazines devoted to the customer's life events (wedding, baby, graduation, etc.)

Og Mandino - Inspirational books, products, and coaching services. Two tier. International publishers OK.

One To Remember - Sells rare, new and used books, oriented to alternative energy and sustainable living. Note that their affiliate agreement is here. Two tier. Based in the UK, but international publishers OK.

Powell's - The online version of "The largest used and new bookstore in the world."

QBD The Bookshop - Books, videos, and gifts. Based in Australia.

Real Groovy - Based in New Zealand. Music, books, games, and DVD videos. Pays by direct credit to NZ bank accounts, or can send a cheque. Minimum payment NZ$50, Net 30. International publishers OK.

Unconventional Guides - Offers ebooks with text and audio, about self-employment and low-budget travel.

Website Magazine - Promote free subscriptions to this paper magazine for Web developers and similar professionals. Net 15, minimum $200. International publishers OK, but they only accept US-based leads.

WH Smith - Based in the UK. Offers books, videos, and other products.

Ziwi - Based in New Zealand, and offering new and used books. Net 30, minimum NZ$25, by cheque, PayPal, direct credit to a NZ bank account, or store credit for your purchases. International publishers OK.
